Religious Education

Our parish Religious Education program is designed to help parents share their faith with their children, and help the whole family become disciples, followers of Christ in their everyday lives.  Our program is built around 4 core values:

By Families, For Families

We are not "school for hire," but families volunteering to pass faith onto other families

We work to support all aspects of family life

Worship Is Most Important

Families worshiping at Mass together is the most important way to hand on faith

Without regular worship, our classes have little or no effect

Disciples Making Disciples

We are not learning someTHING, but someONE - Jesus

We strive to provide role models who will help nuture a desire to follow the Lord more every day

Authentically Catholic

We celebrate the beauty and richness of our Church

We want our families to experience ALL aspects of our Catholic heritage

Families can choose one of our two class formats listed below:

Weeknight Religious Education Classes
Because of our large number of students, but limited classroom space, our program meets on a semester basis.  This means children attend classes EITHER in our Fall Semester (September through December) or Winter Semester (January through April).

In each semester, the following days and times are offered:

         Mondays    Grades 1-8 – 5:00-6:30 PM

         Tuesdays    Grades 1-6 - 5:00-6:30 PM
Grades 7-8 - 7:00-8:30 PM

         Wednesdays  Grades 1-8 – 5:00-6:30 PM

Family Journey Program
The Family Journey Program is a hybrid home study/group study program specifically designed for the family who is committed and their intent upon growing and developing their faith together. This program involves:

        Weekly mass attendance

Book lessons completed at home and turned in

4 group meetings – typically scheduled on Sundays after our 9:30 mass

A family service project and reflection
